MaleWelt Yang, born Joachim Nokianvirtanen[4] and also known as Joachim Yang,[5] former Sovereign of Anti-Entropy. He was the 2nd Herrscher of Reason, passing on the mantle to Bronya Zaychik after the events in the Sea of Quanta. Before story of A Post-Honkai Odyssey starts, Bronya returns the Core of Reason to Welt.
Welt Yang is former Sovereign of Anti-Entropy. He inherited the name "Welt" and the 1st Herrscher's core from Welt Joyce before the latter died from an injury in 1955.
His first in-game appearance is in Chapter IX - EX-2, although he has been featured in the supplementary comics.
Appearance[ | ]
Welt is a brunette with matching brown eyes. He often dons a simple outfit: a dress shirt, pants, a scarf, belt, and a long coat. His scarf, pants, and shoes are all black, while his shirt and inner coat are white. His gray coat also has stripes of black in the front, and some on the inner fabric. He wears glasses, but they don't seem to be necessary.

Anti-Entropy Visual Novel[ | ]
He is the son of Elias Nokianvirtanen, also known by the pseudonym Finn, and Henrietta Yang. His father was a librarian on the campus of the Imperial Academy of London. He was a specialist in ancient writings who helped the staff of Laboratory 42 and the North American branch of Schicksal to study the secrets of the Dead Sea scrolls. And therefore, since childhood, Joachim spent time among scientists. He became a close friend of Dr. Frederica Nikola Tesla, who spent a lot of time with him and even went out at night, drunk, to hang out with him. At Lab 42, he also met Dr. Lieserl Albert Einstein and lab assistant Welt Joyce, with whom he also maintained good relations.
Tesla and Joachim loved to have fun. So, one day they designed a drone and, going to the cemetery because Tesla was forced to carry out public works there, decided to trick Joyce. But they did not expect to meet the Schicksal Valkyrie there – Reanna Brigantia – who would destroy their drone, mistaking it for an unidentified flying object.
For some time Joachim continued his carefree life, until one day Otto Apocalypse, Overseer of Schicksal, intervened in the life of Laboratory 42. His father, Elias, was forced to sabotage the North American branch because Otto threatened Joachim's life. And just one small sabotage led to an incredible catastrophe. However, even before the main battle has begun, Elias was killed by Otto for revealing the truth.
For unknown reasons, Joachim finds himself in a box on board a plane bound for New York, the site of the Honkai outbreak caused by this experiment, the calculations for which were changed by Elias. There he is discovered by Tesla's mentor, Emma Planck, who is also the youngest professor of physics at Princeton University, an important pedagogical figure for the employees of the North American branch, as well as an ambassador between the branch and headquarters.
Suddenly, the plane crashes and finds itself not far from the battle. Because of Joyce's carelessness, Otto had the advantage in the fight. The Overseer enjoyed it, wondering who to kill first. And young Joachim becomes his target, but Joyce sacrifices himself trying to save the boy. But despite this, thanks to an unexpected ally, Joyce manages to capture Otto and destroy his body.
Once one of Otto's bodies is disposed of, Schicksal launches nuclear Honkai missiles. To protect the city, Reanna had to die. And Joyce, having created a shield with a range of 20 km, overloads his already wounded body, and the wounds open again. Knowing that he would die soon, Joyce chose to entrust his Core of Herrscher together with the name of "Welt" and the responsibility of guarding the world to Joachim. From this, the boy took the name of Welt and became the second generation 1st Herrscher.
After a while, using the powers of Herrscher of Reason, Joachim changes his appearance to the appearance of Welt in order to give interviews to the media along with doctors, as well as to found Anti-Entropy. After that, he runs away with Ada for 20 years, nothing is known about that period of time.
Finally realizing that he is unable to escape from the burden of being Welt, he decides to return home to Anti-Entropy – the former Laboratory 42.
Story[ | ]
Second Eruption[ | ]
Before the events of the Second Eruption, he was creating the anime «Arahato», based on his dead hero.
In 1959, Anti-Entropy launches a lunar program in response to Schicksal's program. Both organizations found Honkai there and decided to stop lunar programs, and this information remained classified.
In 1991, 36 years after the Battle for New York, Welt attacks a Schicksal truck being escorted by three Valkyries. He wanted to grab a weapon that could kill Herrscher. But as it turned out, it was fake. During these events, Welt meets Cecilia Schariac, the ace of the Schicksal of those times, whom he sends flying directly into the hands of Siegfried Kaslana, who at that time was hunting the Honkai Beast for a reward.
Cecilia's blood gets on Welt's hand and leaves a trace. He decides that the girl is connected with a weapon capable of killing Herrscher, and therefore goes in search of her. Together with Einstein, they find Cecilia with Siegfried, who decided to take her to the base, which is located in Austria. Not wanting to involve a civilian, Welt and Ein waited for Siegfried and Cecilia to separate.
This happened when Cecilia decided to get an Arahato figurine from the vending machine, wanting to thank Siegfried for everything. Ein puts Cecilia to sleep with gas and takes a blood sample, and Welt stops Siegfried, who rushed after Cecilia right after he heard about the gas. Siegfried does not listen to Welt's request to leave Cecilia and Welt increases Siegfried's weight 10 times so that he does not move. However, contrary to common logic, Siegfried still manages to get up and Welt has to knock him out. After that, they leave the city.
After that, Welt reappears in February 2000, a day after the Second Eruption, training in order to defeat the Second Herrscher if they refuses to side with humanity.
Then he arrives in Siberia and waits 5 kilometers from the laboratory with Tesla and Einstein for his agent, Patricia, who is also a Valkyrie of Schicksal. Arriving on the battlefield, Welt notices Siegfried. Wanting him to stay on their side, he decides to personally join the battle against the horde of Honkai Beasts. However, Siegfried does not recognize him and threatens him, instead of accepting help, because orders are above all. Welt reminds him of dear people and the oath of Kaslana, after which Chevalier immediately changes his mind and holds out his hand as a sign of temporary reconciliation.
Inside the laboratory, Ein measures the Honkai energy, but there was nothing commensurate with the energy of Herrscher. Welt notices traces of Herrscher and the remains of the spatial rift through which Herrscher escaped. AE drones are not able to work in such weather, and therefore they asked Theresa to use the Oath of Judah to search for the Second Herrscher. However, Honkai Beasts attack again, and therefore Ein remains for protection, while Siegfried and Welt go search for Herrscher.
They find Herrscher inside Honkai cocoon. As soon as Theresa approaches it, it hands grab her and pull her inside. Siegfried wants to follow her to save her, but Welt tries to dissuade him from a reckless act. However, before they could do anything, two Honkai imperial–class Beasts appear from the cocoon - the Son of Dawn and the Son of Darkness.
Chevalier is unable to cope with the twins, and therefore asks Welt for help, although he previously told him not to interfere. Welt easily deals with Honkai Beasts. And although the cocoon is no longer there, Sirin (the second Herrscher) and Theresa were in an imaginary space that Welt forcibly opened. Siegfried picks up the wounded Theresa and runs away with her to the tower, while Welt takes Sirin on himself. He wanted to talk to her, but with the help of the Archangel-class Honkai beast Sirin learns that Welt is a "traitor".
He engages in battle with Sirin, but she turned out to be more cunning, and when Welt tried to break through her barrier, she sent First Herrscher into the Benares mouth, a Judgment-class Honkai Beast. But to her surprise, Welt breaks out of Benares. He invokes various military technologies of humanity against her, explaining that this is the true power of the Herrscher of Reason. And so, the battle takes a more serious turn.
While Sirin was distracted by Welt, Einstein and Tesla launched a nuclear Honkai missile at her. And although the Second managed to send missile to the ground under her, the explosion still hit her. Using the copied ninth Divine Key, the Star of Eden, Welt creates a quasi-black hole. Before Sirin can get sucked into the hole, Otto in a clown mask shoots at Welt and interrupts the Key's action, allowing Sirin to escape. Welt tries to shoot her, but Otto presses Herrscher's arm with his foot. Siegfried, who arrived in time, saves him from an unpleasant situation, because Otto was going to kill Yang. Schicksal Overseer takes away Judgement of Shamash, Siegfried's weapon, and shoots right at him.
However, it is not for his purposes to kill his subordinate, and therefore tells Kaslana to stay in place, otherwise he will die without proper treatment. Being Kaslana, Siegfried could not do this, but Welt began to persuade him to leave the dying old man. But Siegfried gets up anyway to punch Otto in the face. Since Otto needs Siegfried in his plans, the clown leaves them.
Siegfried was able to carry Welt to the Babylon Labs, where their wounds were treated by Einstein. While they stayed at the base, Sirin, being on the Moon, gained new strength and sent 4 meteorites to earth, which destroyed millions of lives. AE tried to send 3 nuclear bombs to the moon, wanting to detonate them when approaching the Moon, but communication with them was lost. The reason for this was a powerful electromagnetic pulse caused by the Gem of Conquest, also known as the Core of Thunder.
Sirin sends a message using electromagnetic pulse, calling to fight her on the Moon, otherwise in 72 hours she will send 4 more meteorites to Earth. After one of the meteorites has been analyzed, Welt decides to go to the Moon, before deciding to meet Otto. Despite the enmity between them, the two leaders remained calm. Welt asked for help in collecting the intact Soulium that was in the meteorites sent. Otto agreed to his plan and decided to send Siegfried as an assistant.
Taking Siegfried with him, Welt returns to the Anti-Entropy base in the USA, where Raiden Ryoma was waiting for him, temporarily performing tasks instead of Welt. After asking Ryoma to leave them, they enter the hangar, where Welt shows Siegfried Arahato, which is supposed to take them to the Moon.
After learning that Welt was behind the creation of Arahato, Siegfried asked for his autograph, while praising the anime. However, they didn't have time for that. Yang tells the original plan, however, being unsure of Sirin's true powers, he also talks about Plan B, which Kaslana does not like.
While doctors finish preparing Arahato, Welt decides to talk to Tesla. Tesla decided to remind him that he had promised to dance with her when he grew up as a child. While he was waiting for Tesla, who was picking up a dress, he indulged in memories. Even before he became a Welt, he had lost a lot. And after becoming a Welt, he continues to lose. 300k souls in the Core of Reason haunted him while he was growing up. However, there was Tesla, who always reminded him of the beauty of this world.
A few hours later, they finally went to the moon. While they were on the road, they admired the Earth and talked peacefully. They talked about themselves: about their past, hobbies and dreams. They talked about everything, but not about the most important thing – which of the plans should be used.
When they land on the Moon, Welt comes out first. He is immediately met by Bella – Honkai Beast Benares, to whom Sirin gave the mind and the Gem of Conquest. Bella takes Welt to Sirin, and then Siegfried comes out of Arahato. His task was to collect fragments of Soulium and deliver it to Earth. However, the fragments were in ruins, where Sirin was. Therefore, Welt had to take her as far away as possible. He listens to her speech about humanity and the fact that friendship with people is a disgrace for Herrscher.
However, he was not going to side with the Sirin, but came prepared for battle. But since his goal is to take Sirin away, he begins the battle by escaping, knowing that both Sirin and Bella will chase him. But they already understood perfectly well that Welt was trying to distract them from something, and therefore they quickly stop chasing. Sirin catches it with her created hands and approaches Welt, but behind his back was the real ninth Divine Key. Therefore, as soon as she approached, Yang created a quasi-black hole. But he also miscalculated: it no longer worked on Sirin.
Arahato leaves the Moon with Siegfried, which is noticed by Sirin. But she did not get distracted by this and destroys the Star of Eden. And although only one minute has passed for them, in fact, a whole hour has passed. Thanks to Ein's plan, Welt took advantage of the time dilation around the quasi-black hole. That was enough time for Kaslana to complete his mission. However, this worsened the condition of Welt, who was already unable to fully recover. The support of the quasi-black hole and the attempts not to be sucked into his own quasi-black hole completely squeezed the strength out of him. And at the same time, Sirin's own strength was only growing.
Sirin didn't like Welt's actions, so she decided to drop a couple more meteorites on Earth. Using the remnants of his strength, Welt destroyed the meteorites. Realizing that Yang has no strength left, she decides to give him a "helping hand", wanting to end his life earlier. However, knowing that defeat awaits him on the Moon, he learned in advance from Tesla about how to blow up his own Core, squeezing it so much that it would overcome the Chandrasekhar limit. But Sirin took the Core of Reason faster than Welt could blow them both up. Sirin successfully devours the Core of Reason, and Welt disintegrates.
But Welt is not that stupid to just go on a suicide mission. Therefore, before Sirin ate the Core, Welt hid his consciousness in it. Welt appears in an illusory world created by Fu Hua with the help of the eighth Divine Key, the Fenghuang Down, which also freed Welt's consciousness by disconnecting Sirin with the Core of Reason. Bella's death in reality causes Sirin to wake up and attack Siegfried and Cecilia, but Welt protects them and allows them to escape.
While Welt and Sirin are imprisoned in this place, in reality, Einstein fired a prototype of Selene from Arahato, which weakened her connection with the Core, and then pulled out the Gem of Conquest and sent Arahato's palm along with it to Tesla. As soon as Ein gets the Core of Reason, Sirin breaks out and destroys Arahato, and along with this breaks the Core of Reason.
Dragging his consciousness into Arahato, Welt uses Selene's prototype to create a shield to protect Siegfried and Cecilia from the decay of Honkai caused by Sirin losing control of her Core after Siegfried removed the Gem of Serenity that had been healing Sirin all along. Welt suggested to Siegfried that they could be saved if they hit the Sirin with Judgement of Shamash at maximum power. However, for this, it was still necessary to find Sirin among all this Honkai. Therefore, Cecilia decides to use a huge amount of her blood to neutralize Honkai, since this is a property of Schariac blood. After that, Siegfried uses Judgement of Shamash: Annihilation.
After defeating Sirin, Siegfried returns the Anti-Entropy Core of Reason, where Welt later recreates his body, thanks to the knowledge of 300k souls in his Core.
Alien Space[ | ]
In 2005, Welt reappears, but as a temporary lecturer in the space engineering program at the California Institute of Technology, where he met Himeko Murata. Outside of his normal work, Welt is engaged in the restoration of his body, since even the forces of Herrscher are not able to perfectly restore the body. And also restores Herrscher's strength. Five years later, he managed to restore only 65% of his former power. While Welt is doing this, Einstein and Tesla are managing Anti-Entropy.
A meteorite appears near the Earth, and therefore, in the absence of Welt, AE had to launch Arahato in New Mexico, which was noticed by someone and posted on the Internet, mistaking mecha for an alien. Wanting to learn more about this, Himeko decides to go to New Mexico. At the Los Angeles airport, Murata loses her student ID, which is found by Welt and, in an attempt to return the lost thing, he has to run after Himeko in a hurry. The girl apologizes and says that she bought a ticket to New Mexico in a hurry, showing a post that attracted her attention. Seeing that it is Arahato, Welt declares that it is not an alien at all. But the girl does not believe him and runs away.
Welt calls Tesla to find out about this case. As it turned out, someone managed to post a photo before Tesla erased their memory. In order for Welt not to worry, Tesla says that Himeko will be caught by Ryoma and will erase her memory. However, Ryoma is not sure, because those who had their memories erased yesterday were still unconscious, shaking and talking in their sleep. Welt didn't like the idea of a small coma, so he decides to go to New Mexico with Himeko.
On board the plane, Welt asks Himeko's phone to take another look at that photo, and asks how she was going to look for these aliens. Himeko points to the coordinates in the photo, which Welt immediately changes so that she does not find Arahato. After landing, they catch a taxi and go to the capital of New Mexico. Welt notices that this is an unsuitable place for aliens to land. The girl decides that something is wrong with the GPS, and suggests expanding the search area. But since they were next to a movie theater that had an Arahato poster on it, Welt points to it, saying that they found her aliens. The poster, by the way, was printed and posted by Ryoma.
Himeko regrets this meaningless trip and perceives Welt's escort as a sign that he is also a fan of aliens. After receiving a negative answer, the girl decides that Welt cares about Himeko. Yang is amazed at this statement and says that it is not so. However, due to the fact that he cannot reveal the truth about Arahato, he decides to lie about the fact that he is really interested in aliens. After that, he learns that Himeko specifically put it that way so that Yang "recognized" his interest in an alien life form. Without his consent, Himeko signs him up in a club dedicated to this topic.
When they returned to America, during one of the breaks, Himeko catches Welt to show a joint plan to study meteorite 439, which was noticed by AE. However, he was not interested in this and he was thinking about how to refuse Himeko. But at this moment, he notices someone's inhuman presence, whose forces surpassed the Judgment-class Honkai Beast. Welt reacts quickly and blocks Himeko, but to his surprise he notices only an ordinary man who was filming his daughter, Murata Ryusuke. Ryusuke initially mistakes Yang for his daughter's boyfriend, but Himeko corrects him and introduces them to each other properly.
Ryusuke asks his daughter if she can arrange a tour for him, because he wants to see the advanced technologies of North American laboratories. The girl immediately refuses, because she wanted to look at the telescopes with Welt. Yang takes this opportunity and says that she should spend time with her father.
Returning to the AE base, Welt is faced with an interesting situation: the fourth Divine Key, a nuclear Honkai missile, soldiers whose mind was under someone's control, an unknown robot, and Murata Ryusuke was somehow involved in this. Tesla studied the robots and it turned out that this was not the work of Schicksal, and some of them could not even be deciphered. Wanting to find out the truth, Welt goes to Murata's home, being sure that Ryusuke is now alone. Radiating Honkai energy to crack the lock, Welt again feels that mysterious presence that he felt back in their first meeting with Ryusuke. This only convinced Welt that Ryusuke is much more dangerous than he seems.
But then he is suddenly caught by Himeko, who mistook Welt's visit for his desire to talk about telescopes that can be used to observe meteorite 439. Dragging Welt to her house, the girl immediately sat him down at the table, and she went to cook dinner for three. An awkward silence fell between the men. Ryusuke had read about Welt, and therefore did not attack him and understood that it was possible to resolve the situation diplomatically. At the same time, the tension between them disappeared. Welt did not understand whether Ryusuke was on the side of these robots, and decided that he did not attack him because he did not want to involve his daughter in this.
After cooking dinner, they talked a little. But as soon as Ryusuke mentioned Himeko's childhood, she immediately shut him up, saying that curry is best eaten when it is hot. After thanking for the food, Welt started eating and immediately felt bad, because the curry was incredibly spicy. Ryusuke apologized for not being able to be a proper father to her. As soon as they finished, Himeko went to wash the dishes, and Ryusuke invited Welt to a private conversation.
Murata immediately started talking about space and about the fact that they are not alone in it, showing his alien friend. The alien opens a small portal that resembled an arch in some candy palace. Ryusuke invites him to go there so that he can finds out the truth, before saying that Ryusuke himself is weaker than Welt, and therefore is not able to fight him. Welt agrees and finds himself in a mysterious candy world. Ryusuke says that this is the world of Sugars. Their bodies have changed in accordance with the views of the Sugars themselves, but this is nothing more than a visual change. Neither Welt's powers nor his mind were affected, which Welt immediately checked. He also noted that he could leave this place at any moment, and the structure of this world resembles Divine Keys.
Sugar tells about Sky People who send vanguard stones to collect information. As soon as they find a suitable civilization, its coordinates are sent home to attack and destroy this civilization afterwards. And then they destroy all traces of their actions, as well as traces of the existence of civilizations that have become their victims. This is what happened to the Sugars home World.
Welt found this strange, because not a single meteorite was missed. However, as proof, Ryusuke mentions a spy robot that was found by AE. Despite the fact that Welt cannot fully trust them, he also cannot ignore the threats to humanity. Then they were noticed by the rest of the Sugars and their leader said that no one here is happy with people. Peppermint's actions, Ryusuke's Sugar, were uncoordinated. And because of the disclosure of their existence, the Sugars are forced to leave the Earth.
Welt and Ryusuke leave the Sugars world and discover that Himeko has lost consciousness. While they were gone, Himeko was attacked by aliens. Tesla and Ein made efforts to bring Himeko out of critical condition and get the robot out of her, however, she was already infected and if this is not stopped, she will lose mind control in three days. They had no reason to save her, and therefore, in return, they ask Ryusuke to tell everything he knows about Sky People.
Thanks to this, they learned that asteroid 439 is the vanguard stone of Sky People. To deal with it, Ein decides to send Welt and Ryusuke into space. In addition, thanks to the fourth Divine Key, they were able to prevent the destructive waves of the vanguard stone. As soon as they have detected the coordinates of the stone, Welt, standing on the ship, uses his powers to destroy the vanguard stone.
Returning to the ship, Welt felt weak due to the fact that he had overdone his strength. After contacting Ein and Tesla, he learned that Himeko was now fine, the infected cells had begun to recover. Tesla, as always, was worried about Welt, and therefore Welt said that he would return home as soon as possible. After that, he returned to Ryusuke to inform them that they needed to prepare for returning home. But Ryusuke didn't think so, because he had always dreamed of traveling into space. However, Welt says that without proper preparation, it is dangerous, because their technologies are not yet sufficiently developed for this. In response, Ryusuke shows Yang project ARK created in Previous Era, which is able to fulfill Ryusuke's dream.
However, to build such a ship requires a huge amount of resources, which is not a reasonable solution for the Welt, because they still need to fight with Honkai. But Ryusuke did not agree with this, he believed that civilization was already doomed, that they needed to go into space. Welt reminded him of Himeko, for whom Ryusuke wanted a happy, fulfilling life. To his surprise, Ryusuke didn't care about his own daughter, he was ready to sacrifice anything to achieve what he wanted. Realizing that Welt does not want to listen to him, Ryusuke decides to use Peppermint without his permission, thereby betraying their relationship.
Continuing the conversation, Welt was only horrified at how cruel Murata was. He no longer cared about anything and he began to tell the truth. He also admitted that as soon as they entered the Sugars world, he sent their coordinates to Sky People. And all because Ryusuke needed the strength of the first Herrscher. For the fight with Herrscher, Ryusuke connected to the gestalt of the Sugars to find the source of their power and use it on his own. He also pulled Welt into a spatial weapon created by the Sugars, which resembled the ninth Divine Key used by Welt himself. And the name of this weapon is Alien Key.
Gravity in this place became strange, which made the battle somewhat more difficult for Welt. Ryusuke was not hit by bullets, and he himself could attack covertly. It reminded him of the battle with Sirin. Welt thought that an imaginary barrier could protect him, but even Ryusuke destroyed it without any problems. Ryusuke did not use the power of space, which puzzled Welt. However, he quickly realized that this place is one continuous dimension. While Ryusuke existed in a higher dimension and saw the full picture, Welt saw only part of it. While Welt didn't understand anything, Ryusuke quickly cut his body into pieces.
Welt continued to lecture Ryusuke, becoming more and more convinced that there was nothing human left in his opponent. As a Herrscher of Reason, Welt is able to see the true reality, and Sugars also helped him with this. Once in a higher dimension, Welt was able not only to block Ryusuke's attacks, but also to kill him. However, he not only failed to save Peppermint, but also destroyed Alien Key along with it, for which he later apologized to the Sugars.
After saying goodbye to the Sugars, he asked Ein to deal with Himeko, since he himself did not want to see her. He didn't want to involve Himeko any more, so they lied to her. Schicksal and Honkai were too dangerous for a student, and they didn't know much about Sky People. And for her, her father was a hero, because Welt could not tell her the truth in any way.
In-game Chapters[ | ]
In 2016, Anti-Entropy conducted experiments with the Eye of the Deep, through which they could get into the Sea of Quanta. They considered it a new opportunity, that it would help in the fight against Honkai. However, the experiment failed and the Eye generated a spatial curvature. Welt neutralized this with the help of the Star of Eden. Einstein and Welt managed to get into the Sea of Quanta. Ein was ready to return, however, Welt meets Kevin, who shares ways to stop Honkai. But Welt did not agree with Kevin's ideas, and therefore entered into a battle with him. At the same time, Ein leaves the Sea of Quanta, because time was running out, leaving Yang alone with the enemy.
Welt was weaker than Kevin. Therefore, in order to prevent Kevin from leaving the Sea of Quanta, he created a Quantum pocket – a barrier separating the Sea of Quanta from the Real World, sacrificing his physical body. This barrier serves as a test of the mind for those who are trying to pass through it. In the mazes of the barrier, there is also a shadow of Welt Yang, who looks exactly like young Yang. To get out of the barrier, you need to go through three Bubble Worlds. They are part of Welt's past, confusion and struggle, longing for hope.
And the one who went to the Sea of Quanta was Bronya in 2017. She passed the first two Bubble Worlds and proved to Joachim that she was strong enough. Therefore, Joachim became her strength and led her to the Core of Reason, which will allow her to enter the Sea itself. Having successfully passed the test, Bronya became the new Herrscher of Reason. Welt was still in the Core and thanks to the fact that Bronya became a Herrscher, he was able to communicate with her. Meanwhile, the Welt barrier began to collapse because of the Gem of Desire. Welt's forces were scattered across many Bubble Worlds. Bronya had to assemble them to strengthen the Core.
In search of Seele, because of which Bronya went to the Sea of Quanta, Bronya also met Kevin, who was able to feel the presence of Welt, although his consciousness was in the Core. And although Kevin didn't want to fight, Bronya considered him her enemy, and therefore quickly lost the Core. But as soon as Kevin took away the Core, Welt recreated his body again to protect the girl. Kevin invites them to join the World Serpent, an organization whose leader he was at that time. However, Welt did not agree with his ideals and refused, after which Kevin left the Sea of Quanta. The space they were in began to collapse, separating Welt from the girls. Here Einstein and Schrodinger come to their aid. The girls got out of the Sea on their own way, and reinforcements came for Welt.
After returning, Welt decides to give the Core of Reason to Bronya and become her mentor, deciding that she has more potential. From that moment on, Welt taught Bronya everything he could himself, until finally the end of the battles with Honkai came. Anti-Entropy and Schicksal decide to unite, and Welt resigns as leader on his own, let's decide together with Bronya to found an E.T. studio. While Welt was doing animation, Bronya was developing games. Bronya also returned Core of Reason to Welt. These peaceful times lasted eight short years.
A Post-Honkai Odyssey[ | ]
On April 13, 2026, Welt leaves the E.T. Studio to go on a business trip at the invitation of the government of St. Fountain. After arriving at the station, he suddenly disappears. There he meets Void Archives, who has been disappearing since Otto went to the Imaginary Tree. Archives talks about his plan to get rid of Honkai forever. Welt quickly refuses, but the Archives now threatens to use Joffrey, a clone of Welt Joyce, instead. However, Yang is not provoked and demands to see Joffrey first, that he is safe. And only then will Yang be able to sit down at the negotiating table with the Archives.
A Third squad consisting of Raiden Mei, Adam and Carole Pepper is sent to search for Welt. They successfully find both Welt himself and his adopted son, Joffrey Joyce Yang. After that, he and Joffrey are sent to Cairo, where they were supposed to be picked up by the Schicksal. However, the trip did not go smoothly: they are found by Void Archives. Archives wants to use Welt to get rid of Honkai forever, without accepting the fact that Honkai is already on the Moon. Welt disagrees with him. No sooner had the Archives done something, than Joffrey intervenes in their conversation, who turns out to have the powers of Herrscher of Reason.
Alien Space: Future[ | ]
Two years after the beginning of the events in St. Fountain, Archives and Welt get on the ship of Sky People by passing through their portal. The beacon, followed by the Sky People, is still with Archives, because he wanted Welt to take his side. While they were on the ship, Archives told a little more about Sky People. They were actually cowards and never attacked superior civilizations. After the destruction of one civilization, they stop sending vanguard stone to that World for several decades so that they will not be detected.
In search of the control node, Welt and Archives wandered around the ship, avoiding Sky People in every possible way. After they have successfully found it, Welt disconnects the node, not forgetting to erase all data. But before leaving the ship, Welt decides to find out the truth from Archives. While they were searching for the node, Welt also found a file that depicted Himeko. He was wondering why Sky People were interested in her and what was written in the file. To which the Archives replies that she is from a completely different World, recalling the Imaginary Tree and how Otto described its structure, as well as other Worlds. The panels contained information about the Worlds found by Sky People and their future plans.
Welt suggests to stop Sky People, but Archives considers it reckless, because other Worlds can pose a threat, and they have no reason to save other Worlds. If someone defeats Sky People, then they can become a much greater threat. Welt believes that everything can be solved by diplomacy, and there is also the possibility of creating an alliance. Archives finally comes to terms with Welt's naivety.
After some time, they finally get rid of the ship of Sky People and Welt and the Archives lose contact. To their surprise, Niggurath, one of the Sugars, and Shigure Kira come to their aid, who was supposed send them straight to Earth. However, Welt does not forget his idea of traveling to other Worlds.

- He is the second person to possess the 1st Herrscher's power, after his predecessor Joyce, and before his successor, Bronya in the game's Chapter XI.
- His Herrscher core houses over three hundred thousand souls, including Welt Joyce himself. Welt notes how it makes it impossible for him to even sleep, but he doesn't regret it, seeing how he got to experience the beauties of humanity.
- He has been using the 9th Divine Key's ability through the Herrscher of Reason's power after it was damaged in battle in 1995.
- Using the 1st Herrscher's power has various physical consequences for his body, and using another Herrscher power does so further. As such, he is the only Herrscher that couldn't reach his max potential due to not being as destructive as a normal Herrscher.
